Annie Anzouer is a Cameroonian singer, songwriter and restaurateur. She was born on May 15, 1967 in Lolodorf, a town in the Ocean division of the South region of Cameroon. Music Genres: Acoustic, Afrobeat , Ballad , Bikutsi , Makossa , Slow , Zouk.
Annie Anzouer’s music journey began in 1987 when she got the opportunity to accompany George Séba, who was a key player in Cameroonian music then on a music tour, as a backup vocalist. She later joined The Golden Sounds, the orchestra of the Cameroonian presidential guard.
She released “Maladie Difficile à soigner” in 1989 with the group The Golden Sounds. The success of this song and the tour that followed brough Annie’s to the limelight. The group later became known as Zangalewa in 1991.
Annie Anzouer began a solo career at the end of 1991. In 1994, she released her first solo album, “Variations”, and became known to many as the “Little Mermaid of Kribi “. Between 2002 and 2004, Annie Anzouer worked as a cultural promoter and artistic director. At the Cabaret Music Hall in Douala “La Pêche”, she did shows with Ben Decca, Lapiro de Mbanga , Ekambi Brillant, Charlotte Mbango , Papa Zoé, Douleur , Papa Wemba, Francky Vincent and Jocelyne Labylle .
In 2005, she participated in the organization of singing workshops in schools.
In 2009, in a series of performances as a member of a musical in France, she transformed texts by Léopold Sédar Senghor and Arthur Rimbaud into music.
